The artistic legacy and life story of Fuad Mensi Dileksiz, who left a deep mark on Izmir and the Aegean region with the roles he played from the last period of the Ottoman Empire to the early years of the Republic, comes to light with a comprehensive exhibition.
This special event, which will also host the launch of the book “Sculptor and Painter Fuad Mensi Dileksiz: An Extraordinary Patriot from Spy to Hermit”, published within the scope of our Agency's Cultural Publications. This special event is based on the long-term research of Ömer Faruk Şerifoğlu, the author of the book and curator of the exhibition.
Compiled from the collections of İnanç Hürtürk, Ömer Faruk Şerifoğlu, Yılmaz Temizocak, Cem Üsküp, Ahmet Merey, Zerrin Tuluğ and Veli Yarbaş, this special selection will meet the audience by presenting the world of a patriot evolving into art accompanied by documents.
