With thousands of years of history, Izmir is the living sum of sounds echoing in its streets, memories gathered on street corners, and stories hidden in every stone. However, many of these stories quietly await discovery, in the shadow of dazzling landscapes and off the beaten path.
Photographer Emin Araç brings a voice to this silent waiting, a gaze to this invisibility. Turning his lens beyond the city's usual showcase, Araç invites us to confront the hidden memory of ‘The Other Izmir'.
